Thanks to all who turned in a survey, stopped us in the halls, or sent us E-mail. Your opinions regarding this publication are valuable. Here is what you told us:
The teacher interviews were the most useful elements of the premier issue of Teacher Talk. You would like to see more interviews, not only with teachers, but with student teachers and teens, as well. Also, you wanted more teachi ng tips and lesson plans. See our new Great Ideas!
You asked for articles about student motivation, how to develop students' self-esteem, and parent-teacher relationships. The current issue features an article on classroom manag ement. This is a broad subject that we believe relates to your stated concerns (i.e., student motivation and self-esteem), indirectly. How can we motivate our students or enhance their self-esteem, if we can't effectively manage our classroom?
We hop e that the activity outlines, Great Ideas!, address the desire for practical and relevant content.
